Halloween in Hawaii

Boyfriend and I decided to explore the island on Halloween this year. If you've ever been to Maui you've probably learn of Front St. in Lahaina. It's a great place with tons of restaurants, shops, local flavor, etc. etc. We found out that they block off the street on Halloween for costume parades and so people can walk around. We decided to check it out.

We were "tourists" - I really hate dressing up!

These ladies were fabulous, their husbands wouldn't come and be a part of it with them!
They wanted a "before and after" so of course we volunteered :)

various shops were set up with food and other things

We ate in the "Blue Lagoon" where they were having an adult costume/karaoke contest
dinner and a show? Sounds good to me
typical bar food, nothing amazing.

We didn't stick around for the adult parade. I had heard rumor is gets a little risqué - oh... it did. So, overall, totally recommend checking this out (kids and adults) while the sun is out. Adult parade begins at 730pm, we left around 715pm and the costumes were there.. and they were not PG.

I'm linking up with Debbie's Tuesdays at the Table, though I'm not sure it totally is applicable, i'll let Debbie decide :)
