Spring Runner

Ever since I saw this runner, I decided I had to make one. It's so springy and cheerful!

Just a short and sweet show-and-tell today!

Perfect for our little coffee table

I used my Retro Flowers template to make the pieces and adjusted the seam allowances 

to ensure there were no gaps between the petals.

This summerville print was the perfect binding!

April - Year of Lovely Finishes

I can't believe it's April already, the year is flying by!! This month we have lots of visitors so i'm not sure how productive I will be! Short and Sweet this month..

3. Puff Quilt - Need to finish 3 by June, so i'll shoot for 1 this month

Hm, between this, all the visitors and 8 weeks left of school, should be busy!! 

We Bee Modern Too

Woohoo, I finally finally finished my quilt using the blocks from the We Bee Modern Too bee. This was the first bee I had ever joined. I decided to send fabric to everyone and of course in my over cautious mode sent almost exact measurements, so some of my members couldn't finish the blocks because they didn't have enough fabric... whoops! Lesson learned.

So these blocks came and sat, and sat, and sat.. I brought them to Hawaii thinking they'd be the first quilt I made... wrong.

9 months later, here we are, but its done! Finally!

I wanted to break up the busyness of the blocks so I added the gray blocks between, those are also the only ones quilted with concentric circles. I'm not crazy about the dense quilting as it seems to take away from the coziness of a quilt for me.
